The effect you used for the photo makes it look like an old black & white photo that we all have from our grand-grandfathers. You know… the ones that makes you feel sad.
Well… this photo gives me that exact same feeling, and it fits perfectly with the text.
That OBSESSION brought a very dark cloud over Europe and wrote in blood many pages in the history books.

Most of us take the urban empty spaces for granted – even if they are designed like that, or if they are the result of other constructions (… or demolitions).
You really captured the “emptiness” of those places in your pictures, and for me personally, there are 2 sets of emotions that can be dragged from them: the loneliness of a post-apocalyptic city; and the individuality and uniqueness of each and every element that standing alone can be considered as a whole, and no matter how small and insignificant it is, it can still “tell” you something…

The communists used to see enemies in everyone and everything different than their points of view. It was a reaction of an inferiority complex that made them control everything: from the media to the people’s free will. They rewrote the history books, so that Regime will be considered the “Golden Age”, they listened telephone conversations and read the emails, and they were always suspicious… There was a ” my way or the highway” situation… but the “highway” meant prison or a bullet in the brain…
Thank God is over!!!
